We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Cookies

  • Consent cookie (rpv_consent) – remembers your cookie choice for 180 days. It is strictly necessary and does not track you.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) – set only after you accept. If you reject, or later change your mind using "Cookie settings" in the page footer, they are not loaded and any existing ones are removed.

4. Who we share data with

We only share data with service providers that help us run the website and the service, and only as far as necessary:

  • Google – Google Analytics (only with your consent), Google Fonts, and the Font Awesome icon kit load from third-party servers, which means your IP address is sent to those providers when a page loads.
  • Ideal Postcodes – the postcode or address you type is sent to look up your address.
  • Microsoft (Bing Maps) and a distance-calculation provider – your collection and delivery locations are sent to calculate the route and price.
  • Our web hosting and e-mail providers – who store the website, database and e-mails.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law or a public authority. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that is the case we rely on the safeguards they provide, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Quote requests and bookings that were not confirmed or were cancelled: 6 months, after which the personal details are erased.
  • Confirmed and completed bookings: 24 months after the move, after which the personal details are erased. Accounting records we must keep by law are kept for the legally required period.
  • Contact form messages (in our e-mail inbox): up to 12 months.
  • Analytics data: according to Google Analytics' retention settings (we use the shortest available period).

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time (use "Cookie settings" in the footer for analytics).

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

We use access-controlled systems and HTTPS to protect your data, and only authorised staff can access booking details.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
